VDEM’s Logistics Branch provides local governments and state agencies with logistical and resource coordination assistance to enhance emergency preparedness, response, and recovery.

The Logistics Branch strengthens preparedness activities through logistical planning and training.  During response operations the Logistics Branch assists Virginia’s local emergency managers in the acquisition of necessary resources, supports the efforts of the Virginia Emergency Support Team in the VEOC, and coordinates mutual aid through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact and Virginia’s Statewide Mutual Aid Program.
