Shawn Talmadge – Response Programs Division Director  

Shawn Talmadge recently joined VDEM as the Response Division Director and holds a Master of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness. He comes to us from the Office of Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security where he serves as the Director of Homeland Security and Resilience staff. He also is a Lt. Colonel in the Virginia National Guard and is a former Battalion Chief in Hanover County Fire-EMS.
