ICS 400 Advanced Incident Command Systems

This training is a 14-hour classroom course that provides training on the advanced resource management provisions of the Incident Command System (ICS). Course topics include explaining the special management challenges of major incidents such as unified command, multi-agency coordination systems, and emergency operations centers, as well as explaining how Multi-Agency Coordination Systems (MACS) are established and interface with emergency operations centers. Prerequisites: ICS 100 and ICS200 and ICS 300 or G0195 Intermediate ICS.

Purpose: This is designed for a multidiscipline audience of staff who would likely serve as incident commanders, area commanders, emergency managers, MACS & EOC managers. Planning, logistics, and fiscal considerations associated with complex incident management and interagency coordination are covered in depth.

Target Audience: Senior personnel who are expect to perform in a management capacity in an Area Command or Multi-agency Coordination Entity.

Goals: Successfully pass the exam with score of 70 or better and put KSA’s into practice
