HURLEY DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER TO CLOSE JUNE 25



WISE, Va. – The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at the Hurley Middle School will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 25.


Federal Coordinating Officer Louis Botta said, “The number of people coming to the Hurley center has decreased significantly, a sign that the recovery process is well underway.”

Although the center is closing on June 25, flood victims can register for assistance or get disaster recovery information by calling FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA (1-800-621-3362). Those with speech or hearing impairments can call TTY 1-800-462-7585. Both numbers are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.


The deadline to register for disaster assistance is July 5.
