PUBLIC INQUIRY CENTER OPENS TO ADDRESS
CITIZEN CONCERNS ABOUT HURRICANE ISABEL

RICHMOND, VA – Virginia residents can now call a toll-free telephone number, 866-880-4280, to get information updates and emergency preparedness information regarding Hurricane Isabel.

The Virginia Public Inquiry Center will remain open as long as necessary and will take calls today until 6 p.m. Starting Wednesday, the hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Residents are urged to tune to their local radio or television news broadcasts or their NOAA weather radios for up-to-date information about the hurricane. If they have additional questions, they may call the toll-free number.
