Studies show that up to 40 percent of businesses do not reopen after a disaster.

Make sure you and your employees are prepared:

  • Make a building evacuation plan and practice it regularly.
  • Look at your heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. Be sure you know how to turn it off in an emergency.  Is the system secure, and can it filter out contaminants?
  • Think about what to do if your employees can’t go home. Make sure you have supplies on hand.
