Keep a first aid kit in your emergency supply kit.


  • A first aid booklet. Download one here.
  • Two pairs of sterile gloves.
  • Sterile dressings.
  • Soap and antibiotic towelettes.
  • Antibiotic ointment.
  • Burn ointment.
  • Adhesive bandages in a variety of sizes.
  • Eye wash solution.
  • Thermometer.
  • Prescription medications you take every day, such as insulin, heart medicine and asthma inhalers. Periodically replace them to keep up with expiration dates.
  • Prescribed medical supplies, such as glucose and blood pressure monitoring equipment.
  • Cell phone.
  • Scissors.
  • Tweezers.
  • Tube of petroleum jelly or other lubricant.
  • Aspirin or non-aspirin pain reliever.
  • Anti-diarrhea medication.
  • Antacid (for upset stomach).
  • Laxative.
