Boundaries Data Standard

You are here: Home / 9-1-1 & Geospatial Services / VGIN Geospatial Services / Boundaries Data Standard

The Virginia PSAP Boundary Workgroup is tasked with generating a formal PSAP boundary data standard that meets the needs of the commonwealth as PSAPs and GIS offices prepare GIS data for use in NG9-1-1.  The commonwealth data standard will draw heavily upon the DRAFT NENA NG9-1-1 GIS Data Model.

Stakeholders have been invited to join the development workgroup to garner their insights regarding the initial draft of the document and the draft commonwealth standard will then be shared with the PSAP and GIS communities in the commonwealth before proceeding to a formal public review.
