First Quarter 2018 GIS/MSAG/ALI Analysis

Description: VITA ISP recently distributed the 2018 GIS Data Report card analysis to Commonwealth localities. These results provide two benchmarks assessing the accuracy and conformance of GIS data based on the Virginia GIS standards, and comparing the GIS datasets for road centerlines and address points to automatic location identification (ALI) and master street address guide (MSAG) databases used for 911. These benchmarks are referenced in Next Generation 911 migration proposals in development by ISP for public safety answering points (PSAPs).

ISP staff will host a webinar about the 2018 Q1 GIS/MSAG/ALI Analysis on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. This webinar be presented by Joe Sewash, VGIN Coordinator and Kenny Brevard, GIS Analyst and focuses on NG9-1-1 data preparation, content of the report card material, and provide guidance on using the materials to increase the quality of jurisdiction GIS data
