NG9-1-1 Deployment Plan Part 1

Description: ISP staff has developed a draft plan for the statewide deployment of NG9-1-1. This webinar will review the details of the plan, which the 9-1-1 Services Board will consider during their Jan. 11, 2018 meeting. While the overall approach is to recommend the use of the contract that Fairfax County awarded to AT&T for a Next Generation (NG9-1-1) Emergency Services IP network (ESInet) and Core Services, this webinar will also review the process by which PSAPs may decide to select another solution provider. Funding for NG9-1-1 and the overall schedule for deployment will be presented as well as an update on the legislative changes the Board approved as part of its annual report. Though they will be recorded, two sessions are being provided to allow more opportunity for input on the call.
