Our Path Forward for NG9-1-1 Deployment: Part 1

Overview: Next Generation (NG) 9-1-1 is a major upgrade that impacts all 9-1-1 centers and local GIS offices in Virginia and the commonwealth is now shifting from NG9-1-1 planning to NG9-1-1 implementation. Therefore, as we work together on statewide deployment, everyone’s participation is vital, which is why full stakeholder involvement is one of the Board’s guiding principles. The 9-1-1 Services Board is recommending significant changes that may result in a complete overhaul of the PSAP Grant program. These recommended changes will be discussed during the PSAP Grant Committee (PGC) meeting scheduled for April 13. The purpose of this webinar is to inform our local government stakeholders, prior to the PGC meeting, about the recommended changes and encourage participants to provide feedback.
