PSAP Funding Formula Recalculation

Overview: The current wireless funding distribution percentages are required by the Code of Virginia to be recalculated on or before July 1, 2017. During this webinar, ISP staff will discuss the impact of this recalculation, as well as current efforts to delay the recalculation to July 1, 2018. The 9-1-1 Services Board has prepared draft legislation for the 2017 General Assembly session to delay this recalculation. This action will enable the Board to complete a 9-1-1 funding analysis to address transitional costs for Next Generation (NG)9-1-1 and the sustainment of 9-1-1.
