RapidSOS – Emergency API for the Internet of Things and the NG9-1-1 Clearinghouse for Public Safety

Description: VITA ISP staff will host an informational webinar about RapidSOS – Emergency API for the Internet of Things and the NG9-1-1 Clearinghouse for Public Safety. This webinar will be presented by Tracy Eldridge, Public Safety Community Engagement Manager with RapidSOS. The RapidSOS application works with the public safety community to enhance the data available to 9-1-1 and first responders, and connects its users to the closest 9-1-1 dispatch center. Information sent to the center includes the location of the user, type of emergency and relevant medial and demographic data.
