GIS in the NG9-1-1 Environment

Overview: Geographic Information Systems (GIS) will be essential in Next Generation (NG) 9-1-1. This upcoming session will provide information on the role of GIS, the core GIS components and locality commitments necessary as we move forward. The recommended audience is GIS managers, PSAP managers, along with city and county managers, in an effort to gain an understanding of what will be necessary as this transition to NG9-1-1 occurs.
