Topic: 9-1-1 Comprehensive Plan and GIS Strategic Plan Webinars

Description: With the current editions of the 9-1-1 Comprehensive Plan and GIS Strategic Plan closing out at the end of 2019, ISP staff has been working on creating the programmatic plans for the 2020 – 2022 time frame. Throughout 2019, ISP staff has held regional town hall meetings and other briefings to gather input and ideas from the various stakeholder communities. PSC Coordinator Dorothy Spears-Dean and VGIN Coordinator Joe Sewash used this feedback to identify the statewide requirements and strategic initiatives that are included in the first draft of the new plans. The VGIN Advisory Board was briefed on the draft GIS Strategic Plan at their Nov. 13 meeting. The 9-1-1 Services Board was briefed on the draft 9-1-1 Comprehensive Plan at their Nov. 14 meeting. Both boards support the direction ISP staff has undertaken with these plans. We are now ready to share these draft documents with our stakeholders. To provide the 9-1-1 and GIS local government communities with joint opportunities to review the draft plans and provide feedback between now and January.
